As in past years, this long, drawn out period of time is one we face with a sense of dread. It's just a few days until a very important election. I would never presume to tell you who to vote for ... chances are, your decision is made. Like me, you may have voted absentee.

God already knows who will lead our country for the next four years. In fact, He knows all of the details about the future, even the decisions you will make.

God couldn't care less about the political ads or the social media war of words. I am certain He is sorrowful over how we are all treating "our neighbors" pre and post-election. From my perspective, none ... not one ... of the candidates has displayed humility, compassion or servant hearts. Though the scriptures, God demands these traits from those He calls into leadership.

That being said, if you are wrestling with who to vote for, consider voting based on policies rather than important choices based on the actions and words of "men" (the lesser of evils). Vote for policies that will most align with and honor your beliefs, values and faith ... policies that will best serve God, our country and the future of our children.

Human beings will always fail you. God will never fail you.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
